About the founder
Hi, I'm Jill.
I'm the founder of Wealth Like This™ and a wealth strategy coach who has spent nearly a decade helping hundreds of people navigate everything from debt and career transitions to investing, real estate, business ownership, and long-term wealth building.
My story
From pharmacy to wealth coaching.
I didn't start here. I earned my Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2006 and spent 11 years as a clinical pharmacist. I spent 9 years in college earning my degree, but I never learned anything about what to do with money as I started to earn it. It felt like the biggest gap in my education.
Early in our marriage, my husband Matt and I went through an incredibly challenging financial period that put us on the verge of bankruptcy. We hired a financial coach of our own and it completely turned things around for us. Once I learned more about money, my entire life began to change.
We paid off our debt, started investing consistently, began building a real estate portfolio, and launched several businesses that we own and manage together. The total turnaround in our lives because we learned a better way to manage money has given us options we didn't have a decade ago. That is why I left pharmacy in 2017 and why I know this is the work I am meant to be doing.
Professional background
Nearly a decade coaching, training, and building.
Before launching my own practice, I spent 8 years with Fiscal Fitness PHX, a boutique financial coaching firm in Phoenix, AZ. During that time I also served as a coach and mentor for the Financial Coach Academy, helping train the next generation of financial coaches.
I co-created the Financial Coaching Toolkit, a resource designed to help coaches serve their clients more effectively, and co-founded the Inspired Grace Retreat, an intimate, week-long in-person experience for a small group of coaches each year.
My clinical background gave me a foundation in research, critical thinking, and working closely with people during high-stakes moments in their lives. Those skills translate directly into the coaching work I do today.
